Micro Commissions

Hey, I’m Big Mad.

If you aren’t aware of what is going on in the United States, Alabama has made it almost impossible to get an abortion, criminalising it after the six week mark, when many people do no know they are pregnant. Eleven other states have proposed similar bills. To understand these laws further and how they may affect you, please read this article from CNN.

In the wake of all this, I’ve decided to open myself up for micro-commissions. With my normal charity donations, I ask for about $20 for around 5k words of fic, but due to what’s happening, I’ve selected a few relevant charities for micro-commissions.

I will do micro-commissions for $5+ and the resulting fics will be around 900-1k words.

These charities are:

The American Civil Liberties Union (which hires lawyers to challenge laws that like that actively go against Supreme Court decisions, and has already announced plans to challenge these laws)

Planned Parenthood (which provides high-quality, affordable reproductive care, including abortion, as well as inclusive, science-based sex education, STD testing, hormone replacement therapy for trans people, and many MANY other services.)

Flippable (which uses its donations to support Democratic candidates who are likely to unseat Republican incumbents. The Democratic Party in the US tends to support a pregnant person’s right to choose, while Republicans have a healthy track record of restricting abortion rights.)
