When I was younger I read some poetry (I was turned off in college when the only creative writing class was poetry. I got that changed) I loved Poe, Dickinson, John Donne, Yeats, Angelou. I rarely read current poetry. Maybe because it's easy to read the classics but a little harder to find an in road into the current.
Which is odd since I have two poet friends. One I've see their work and the other, well she is good. She has published some of it (and I've yet to buy it because I suck apparently)
